Position Overview: Zoic Studios is seeking a Senior Houdini TD who combines the skills of a Houdini Artist and Developer. This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency of the Houdini production pipeline across various departments including FX, CFX, Lighting, and Environments.

Responsibilities:

• Optimize Artists’ Houdini scenes.
• Ensure efficient data IO between departments through tools and workflow recommendations.
• Investigate and solve complex production pipeline issues.
• Develop and manage tools and workflows for daily use of third-party and in-house software.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience as an FX or Houdini TD.
• Proficiency in Python and Houdini.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and work independently.
• Experience with user interface development and pipeline development.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design.
• Experience with Version Control Systems.
• Knowledge of Python scripting in Houdini, Nuke, and Maya.
• Basic understanding of USD Fundamentals.
• Additional skills in C/C++, C#, web development, SQL, Shotgun, RV, Cinema4D, Unreal Engine, Linux, Maya, V-Ray, Nuke, Bifrost, Yeti, Substance Painter, and render queuing software are a plus.

Additional Information:

• Location: Ideally candidates should reside within the United States or Vancouver, Canada. Zoic 
• Pay Range: $50 - $65 per hour (based on qualifications and experience).
• Requirements: Reliable internet connection via ethernet and can work on Pacific Standard Time.
• Note: Zoic does not cover relocation costs. Only selected candidates will be contacted for interviews.
