Senior Pipeline Developer

The Role

Are you passionate about building tools that empower artists to create stunning visual effects? Join our team as a Senior Pipeline Developer and play a key role in shaping the backbone of our CG production pipeline.

As a Senior Pipeline Developer, you'll enhance the efficiency of our facility-wide production workflow by creating and supporting tools that help digital artists maximize their productivity with both third-party and in-house software. You'll focus on improving, maintaining, and advancing our CG pipeline to make visual effects production as seamless as possible.

This role requires strong technical and communication skills, a firm understanding of software design and graphics, and proven experience designing tools in a production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Pipeline Managers, CTO, Head of 3D, and Senior Technical Directors to architect, design, and integrate tools into our existing pipeline
  • Design optimal solutions for the studio in partnership with other Senior Pipeline Developers
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain studio-wide solutions
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support to artists
  • Evolve tools, techniques, and workflows to meet changing production needs

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years as a Pipeline Developer or in a similar technical production role
  • Production experience with USD
  • Proficiency in Python and Object Oriented Programming principles
  • Hands-on experience building lighting tools for Houdini or Nuke
  • Working knowledge of Houdini and Solaris
  • User interface development skills
  • Familiarity with Version Control Systems and Qt
  • Background with Shotgun/Shotgrid/Flow or similar production tracking software
  • Clear communication skills across departments and locations

Nice to Have:

  • Containers and web technologies
  • C/C++ development and SQL
  • Leadership or project management experience

Additional Information

  • Pay Range: 50-60/hr DOE.
  • The listed pay range represents the minimum to maximum range for this job description. Pay is dependent on several factors including, but not limited to experience, skills, and qualifications.
  • Zoic does not cover relocation costs.
